A literature review was conducted to explore the concepts of human rights, legal development, and social justice. Policy document analysis was carried out to understand the objectives, structure, and implementation of human rights laws and policies in Indonesia, with a focus on Papua.

Results and Conclusions: The development of a modern legal system in Indonesia, particularly in Papua, has been influenced by various factors, including historical, cultural, and political factors. The implementation of human rights laws and policies in Papua has faced challenges, including lack of awareness, resources, and political will. However, there have been some positive developments, such as the establishment of human rights commissions and the adoption of human rights education programs. The findings of this research indicate that the development of a modern legal system in Indonesia, particularly in Papua, requires a comprehensive approach that addresses the root causes of human rights violations and promotes social justice and equity. Effective and sustainable implementation of human rights laws and policies requires collaboration and commitment from various parties, including the government, civil society, and international organizations.
2024-03-06T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Kadir Katjong, Tri Yanuariahttps://ojs.journalsdg.org/jlss/article/view/3258HUMAN RIGHTS TO HEALTH AND WELLBEING FOR VULNERABLE GROUPS IN TIDAL FLOOD AREAS: A POLICY BRIEF2024-03-06T17:14:14+00:00Eka Budiartoekabudiarto4321@gmail.comAchir Yani S. Many policies regulate flood management especially to manage mental health problems in disaster areas. However, during tidal floods, the implementation of programs to handle psychosocial problems was not optimal. This research aims to develop policy recommendations to meet the need for the right to a healthy and prosperous life among vulnerable groups in tidal flood areas.

Method: This research is a review type of research that examines the policies and legal norms that apply in Indonesia and is related to the tidal flood disaster situation. Prescriptive analysis is carried out by researchers so that researchers can describe problems based on the perspective of policy studies and legal norms that have been studied and analyzed using literature studies.

Result: Various efforts to deal with tidal floods have been carried out, but they still focus on improving the physical environment and dealing with physical health problems. Mental health problems are still ignored because they tend not to be studied and presented by society and the government. Fulfillment of the right to health is unequal because it is not implemented holistically.

Conclusion: Exposure to tidal floods that cannot be changed and prevented requires the existence of policies that regulate the prevention and treatment of mental health problems. Existing policies need to be integrated with each other so that they can be implemented technically by carrying out continuous mental health efforts.
2024-03-06T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Eka Budiarto, Achir Yani S. Social media is a vital platform for political participation, mobilization and expression, as it enables citizens to access information, voice their opinions and engage with diverse perspectives. However, social media also poses risks and challenges for democracy, as it can be used to manipulate public opinion, spread misinformation and incite violence.

Theoritical framework: The influence of negative campaigns on voting behavior and political participation has also been a focus of research, with studies analyzing the impact of campaign narratives and media attention on election outcomes. In this context, many studies have highlighted how campaigns dominated by negative narratives can influence voters' opinions and attitudes. Negative campaigns tend to focus attention on the weaknesses and defects of political opponents, often leading to polarization and dissatisfaction with the political process as a whole. Apart from that, the role of the media in strengthening or balancing the campaign narrative is also an important aspect to be researched. The mass media has great power in strengthening the narratives conveyed by candidates and political parties through the coverage, analysis and opinions they convey to the public. In this case, media attention to certain campaign narratives can influence voter perceptions and preferences.

Methods: The research examines how social media was used by different political actors and groups to support or oppose Anies Baswedan, who was a candidate for the governor of DKI Jakarta in 2017 and is now a presidential candidate backed by the Nasdem Party, PKB and PKS. The research also analyzes the impact of social media on the political culture and values of the Indonesian society, as well as the opportunities and limitations for enhancing democratic accountability and transparency through social media. The data collection methods include interviews, document analysis and internet-based sources and social media from 2016 to 2017

Result & Conclusion: The research findings show that social media has both positive and negative effects on democracy, as it can foster civic engagement, deliberation and pluralism, but also create polarization, distrust and intolerance. Social media is the third most popular medium for spreading campaign content, after television and newspapers. The campaign content in the 2017 DKI Governor election was then used in a national context to undermine Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate, who was backed by the Nasdem Party and PKB, who were his political adversaries in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Governor election.

Research Implications: Highlights the importance of responsible social media strategies to support democracy, recommending enhanced digital literacy and content regulation.

Originality/Value: Provides a unique analysis of the impact of social media on political elections in Indonesia, offering insights into changing campaign strategies and socio-political interactions.
2024-03-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://ojs.journalsdg.org/jlss/article/view/3475A SCALE UP FOR LOCAL PRODUCT THROUGH SACRIFICING THE HIGH-QUALITY BY TECHNO-PRENEURSHIP: CASE STUDY SADE VILLAGE, LOMBOK ISLAND2024-03-12T17:14:35+00:00Ni Wayan Sri Ariyanisriariyani@unud.ac.id
Purpose: This research paper aims to develop a vision statement for breakthrough innovations in the notation and recording industry, enhancing revenue generation and profitability, addressing customer needs, aligning local business teams, and stimulating economic growth.

Methods: This research paper uses a combination of qualitative research and stra-tegic business development methods to develop a vision statement and strategies for the notation and recording industry. One important aspect of implementing restorative justice is the development of a different mindset in the justice system. This system rejects the conventional view, which only views the perpetrator as the object of punishment and the victim as the party who has the right to obtain justice through sanctions against the perpetrator. In contrast, a restorative approach sees perpetrators as individuals who can take responsibility for their actions and have the potential to improve themselves. Apart from that, victims are also considered an integral part of the recovery process, and the community is given a more active role in supporting this process.

Methods: As for the method of study This is a qualitative study, and research qualitative is a research method used to understand social phenomena in depth. The researcher used a case study because it allowed them to gain a deep understanding of the context, process, and complexity of the phenomenon being studied. Type study This possible researcher will dig for perspective, experience, and possible meaning hidden in the data collected related to restorative justice in resolving sexual crimes in the city of Medan. Then the researcher analyzes or draws an interesting conclusion to find an answer from the researchers thorough.

Conclusions: Results from the study show that the implementation of restorative justice for sexual harassment cases in Medan faces a number of challenges involving complexity, sensitivity, and perceptions of justice. Findings from observations and interviews with court officials show that the use of restorative justice in this context is still rarely adopted. The main factors causing this low adoption involve the complexity of sexual assault cases, a lack of understanding of restorative justice, and concerns about the safety and protection of victims.
2024-03-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Henny Saida Florahttps://ojs.journalsdg.org/jlss/article/view/3277MODELLING SPILLWAY FOR FLOOD CONTROL OPTIMIZATION IN EMBANKMENT DRY DAM2024-03-15T17:17:17+00:00Lily Montarcih Limantaralilymont2001@gmail.comDuki Malindod.malindo@pu.go.idPitojo Tri Juwonopitojo_tj@ub.ac.idAndre Primantyo Hendrawanandre_PH@ub.ac.id
Purpose: The primary purposes of this present study are to show and compare 3 (three) different types of spillways, namely normal, differential, and labyrinth, by means of passing exceptional flood events with acceptable safety and margin for the dam and spillway while maintaining a hydraulic safety point of view.

Theoretical reference: Ciawi dry dam is a homogenous type of dam with an inclined wet core built in the Ciliwung River, Jakarta, Indonesia. Its purpose is to retain 50 years of floods and cut the peak of floods as part of the Jakarta flood control system. It has been functioning since the year 2022 with another dry dam in the same River basin called the Sukamahi dry dam.

Method: The flood control capacity of the dry dam with a spillway and gateless bottom outlets designed at the riverbed level is investigated with an analytical approach using a theoretical formula. Numerous design discharges were verified and compared for specific scenarios engaging the operation of bottom outlets reviewed based on flood control and the safety of the dam. In addition, a spillways type comparison is made for a scenario with one gate opening and one gate closing of the bottom outlet using PMF design discharge to confirm the satisfaction of dry dam outlet capacity.

Result and Conclusion: The best design choice that can be recommended for the worst scenario is the Labyrinth spillway with a width of 155m and an angle of 18o while the spillway span width is kept to the same existing normal spillway width. By automating manual tasks more quickly, modern ERP systems free up time and funds for other important projects. Data can be aggregated by contemporary ERP systems for simpler management, access, and analysis.

Method: Systems for enterprise resource planning, or ERPs, have become a vital component of contemporary manufacturing processes. These integrated software solutions are essential for improving, streamlining, and controlling many aspects of manufacturing, including financial control, customer service, production and inventory management. Manufacturers can effectively manage vital resources like labor, equipment, and materials with the help of ERP systems. ERP helps eliminate waste, minimize production delays, and maximize resource utilization by offering real-time visibility into resource allocation and availability.

Result and Conclusion: Manufacturing process synchronization and automation are made easier by ERP software. Work orders, production schedules, and quality control can all be managed by it, resulting in seamless and effective manufacturing processes. In manufacturing, keeping the proper amount of inventory on hand is a difficult task. ERP systems give producers insights into demand trends, order lead times, and reorder points, which helps them optimize inventory levels. In addition to lowering carrying costs and preventing stockouts, this minimizes superfluous inventory.

Implication of Research: An organization's operational model is altered by digital transformation. This process involves systems, workflow, processes, and culture. Every level of an organization is impacted by this transition, which unifies data from different departments to collaborate more successfully.

Originality/Value: Enhanced Efficiency: Businesses are able to allocate resources more effectively thanks to automation and streamlined processes, which also lower operational costs and increase productivity.
2024-03-26T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Cen Feng, Dhakir Abbas Alihttps://ojs.journalsdg.org/jlss/article/view/2565THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIFFERENTIATED LEARNING USING PERSONALIZED APPROACH TO THE EMPLOYABILITY OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE ANIMATION STUDY PROGRAM2023-12-18T11:41:35+00:00Mardimardi.22003@mhs.unesa.ac.idEkohariadiekohariadi@unesa.ac.idAny Setiadiningsihanysutiadiningsih@unesa.ac.idLilik Anifahlilikanifah@unesa.ac.idArie Wardhonoariewardhono@unesa.ac.id
Objective: The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of personalized differentiated learning in enhancing the employability of students enrolled in the animation study program at vocational schools. Currently, the transmission of subject matter and animation program training in vocational schools is conducted in a traditional and uniform manner. All students in a class receive the same instruction without considering their individual learning styles, talents, and interests. However, animation companies require specific skills from their employees, leading to a disconnect between the skills possessed by vocational school graduates and the demands of the job market. The vocational school curriculum focuses on the application of theoretical knowledge to practical animation production, which necessitates access to computer facilities. To address these challenges, differentiated learning using a personalized approach is proposed as a solution to enhance the employability of vocational school students in the animation field.

Method: To gather accurate and valid data for this study, the exposefacto quantitative method was utilized. This method ensured that the questions used and the descriptions of the material being taught were aligned with the objectives and content of the lesson (Patria et al., 2023). The research took place at SMKN 12 Surabaya, specifically targeting students enrolled in the animation study program. A sample size of 30 students from this program was included in the study. The main objective of the research was to evaluate how differentiated learning, implemented with a personalized approach, could enhance the employability of vocational high school students in the animation study program.

In this particular research design, a non-experimental approach is employed to examine the causal relationship between two variables, one being the dependent variable and the other being the independent variable. To collect data, a survey method is utilized, involving the administration of specific questions. The researcher employs an analytical technique known as structural equation models (SEM) to assess the impact of the relationship between these variables. The participants in this study consist of students enrolled in the animation study program at SMKN 12 Surabaya. They are divided into two groups: a control class that follows a traditional teaching method and an experimental class that adopts a personalized approach to differentiated learning. The data is derived from the completion of questionnaires distributed among the students in both classes.

Results: The percentage of students that are employable increased by 10.3% following the differentiation of learning methods with a personalized approach. When compared to the control class that only received the application of different learning that was not personalized, it increased by an average of 0.3%. It is possible to deduce that the utilization of personalized approaches in different educational methods is beneficial because it maximizes the students' employability. The results showed that the students who were taught with the differentiated approach had a higher percentage of employment than the controls. Additionally, students in the experimental group had a greater sense of motivation and participation in the educational process as a whole. Distinguished learning style with personalization is considered a method that can be employed to enhance the efficiency of learning in high schools that specialize in professions in order to create skills that are relevant to the industry.

Conclusions: Drawing from the findings of the research, one can reasonably deduce that: (1) The employability of students in animation study programs in vocational schools is positively impacted by the adoption of a personalized learning approach, (2) The effectiveness of students' employability is greatly impacted by differentiated learning, and (3) The integration of personalized learning and differentiated instruction yields superior outcomes in equipping Animation Study Program students with the necessary employability skills.
2024-03-26T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Mardi, Ekohariadi, Any Setiadiningsih, Lilik Anifah, Arie Wardhonohttps://ojs.journalsdg.org/jlss/article/view/3467PROTECTION AND JUSTICE CONCEPTS FOR MEMBERS OF INDONESIAN POLICE AS NARCOTICS ABUSERS IN LINE WITH STATE OF LAW2024-03-09T09:33:00+00:00Nazaruddinuddinnazar1964@gmail.comEdy Purnamaeddypurnama@usk.ac.idHusnihusnijalil@usk.ac.idMohd Dinm_din@usk.ac.id
Background: Drug or narcotic abuse is not only perpetrated by ordinary people but is often experienced by police officers. The law enforcement process applied to the public is generally different from the victims of abuse among police officers.
